Pulling up in the parking lot, I wasn't sure what to expect, as the place is somewhat reminiscent of Swayze's hangout in Roadhouse. I was only outside on the back deck for a private party, so I can't address anything on the inside except to say that it looked OK as I walked through it, and there was a nice mix of clientele. Apparently they only offer their happy hour specials if you're outside (at least, this is what I was told, never went inside to check it out). But it was a nice day, the deck was spacious and pleasant so it was all good. Our group ordered up the buffalo chicken dip, hummus, and some wings and I got a quesadilla for myself. The food overall was very good.....but be warned, the buffalo chicken dip is VERY spicy. Don't eat it until you have your drink to wash it down. And on that note, the only reason I gave 3 instead of 4 or 5 stars is because the service was kind of haphazard. There were multiple servers, and I will give them credit.....they all jumped in to help out, there was no "I'll get YOUR server". But service was slow.....at least at first. About an hour after I got there, things got a little busier (I think more of their regulars showed up), and then service picked up, so maybe more staff came on duty? I don't know....but it did get better as the night wore on. I would be interested in going back sometime to try some of their other menu items, as they did have some things that sounded pretty good. And the people were pleasant and friendly, so I think it's worth at least one more shot.

This was my first time at the tap house. They did a nice job with the renovation. There are still pool tables but the ambience is much better. They had a side room with a fireplace and High chaired seating. Lauren Kaitlyn and the manager on duty Jeff were all very helpful friendly knowledgeable and personable. Jeff let me try a couple of beers before I made my selection and was very knowledgeable about the beers available. there were over 26 on hand. The freshly made salsa with nacho chips was the best salsa I have had and the rock fish tacos were excellent as well. I plan to return often.

It was our first visit for lunch on the patio. We were delighted with the atmosphere, the beer list, and our waitress. We were bothered by another waitress who, when we troubled her for a round of drinks, she opened a second tab, and brought us the bill with the drinks (even though we were seated for lunch). After a minute, she returned to our table, and asked us to pay up. We were still awaiting our main dishes, and she was asking up to close out! When our lunch was brought to our table, we were surprised by the boring $12 salad. The waitress joked that it was rabbit food. I agreed. We'll be back, but we'll sit at the bar.

The best bar food I've ever had! With amazing beers on tap! By far one of my favorite places!!!!
(5)Rachel S.
A great burger! The Taphouse has a great craft beer selection. Too cool to go in the outside area but looked very fun - cornhole area! The service was very attentive but not rushed. Looking forward to having a beer here again soon!
(5)Ariel W.
Every time I go here, I always try a different beer and I always have the same reaction: "Oh! This is great!" They have an amazing beer selection that never lets me or anyone in my party down! The selection seems to change quite frequently, so it's nice to see something new on the menu every time. The food is also good! Just regular, good old fashioned pub food like burgers and fries that'll make your mouth water! I'm hungry right now just thinking about it!
(5)Shawn H.
Nice place, good selection of tap beer. Service could be better and food was average.
(3)Jenn G.
I always love coming here. They throw themed events with live music, have a beer selection that constantly evolves and changes, and an amazing backyard patio where you can play cornhole (a bean bag throwing, get it in the hole style game). I have been here several times now and have to say that the only food I recommend are the crabby fries. Every thing else is just okay, nothing great. The beer is always awesome though. Service is also just okay. Sometimes they don't come by for a long time, often they get the orders wrong, either by bringing you an entirely different beer than you ordered, or switching your drink with one of you buddies. The waiters often like to pretend they don't need to write down orders, which means they come back, asking you again about what you had ordered. The crowd is a good mix. On St. Patrick's day it was a lot of over 40 couples. Other times I have gone, the patrons ranged from military to general young adults. :) The decorations are pretty typical sports bar inside. There is the main bar area, a dining section, then outside there is a small bar (tvs are outside also), along with lots of patio tables, and a cornhole playing area in the grass. Even though I am not into sports bars, I feel this is the best bar in the whole Glen Burnie/Pasadena/Severna Park area.

The waitstaff is not very attentive. We couldn't find our waitress for our kid's fruit or our bill and we had to grab a different one. My daughter got the grilled cheese and she said it was too buttery. I don't know for sure if it had to do directly with it or not, but she vomited twice when we got home- yuck!!! The rockfish tacos were actually pretty good and we love the cornhole in the back. I think I'll go back for drinks but probably not food. Bummed!
(3)Christine H.
I love coming here! It is a nice small place with great friendly bartenders. They have great food also. They also have an area outside to chill on warm nights. There are pool tables too! The only down side is the lack of parking. One time I came arould 6:30 pm on a weeknight and had to wait for a parking spot.
(4)Kelsea F.
My husband and I frequent this place upwards of twice a week for a quick eat. Our service from Josh and Tommy is always top notch. We love their wings and burgers....seriously that jalapeño burger is the best I've ever had. They have an amazing selection of draft and bottled beer if that is what you're into. If not, they also have nice wine and high end spirits. If you're in the area you will definitely want to stop in and play some pool, have a drink, compete in some free corn hole or have a burger on the back deck. Awesome venue, people, food, and drinks!
(5)Jennifer N.
Great bar food and beer selection and brunch and bloody Mary's and kids menu. Love the outdoor area, very kid friendly and relaxed. Service is decent, sometimes can be slow, but staff is very nice and helpful. Right next to the b&a trail, so great to take a walk after eating and drinking too much!
(4)Courtney K.
Bottom Line: Ok food, good selection of craft beer and a nice spot for outdoor drinking when finicky Maryland weather cooperates. I'm always looking for a good spot to drink craft beer and particularly those that are tougher to find in this area. Overall, SP Taphouse has a good list and its probably my #3 or #4 spot in AA County for craft beer drinking. I appreciate that they keep those tap handles rotating and their tap lines clean. Severna Park Taphouse has a bar, restaurant and for lack of a better word, backyard. The bar is dark and depressing and the restaurant is small so the backyard is the gem of this place. Its just a bummer that we don't have better weather in Maryland so this delightful space could be enjoyed in all seasons. The menu consists of those items that pair well with beer like wings, burgers, wraps, nachos, crab cakes and steaks. The food is average so come here for the beer and do some particularly on good weather days. The service is down to earth and friendly.
(3)Sid P.
Awesome selection of beers. Bartenders definitely help you select something new. Hell wings. I used to crush these wings. Would burn your mouth but were tolerable. Not anymore. They changed their recipe. It's now ghost pepper sauce and "venom" BEWARE! Love this place. Rachel was an awesome bartender.
(5)Greg P.
Terrible service. Food OK. I really wanted to like the Tap House, but I will not be going back.
(1)Leo L.
We went here on a rainy Saturday afternoon for their burger special. $8.50 for a 1/2 lb burger and fries is a good deal. The burger was fantastic and the fries were on point. I love that they give you an entire pickle instead of a limpy slice. I'd go back here in a minute. The next time I'm going thirsty because their craft beer draft menu looks awesome. Our quest to support local independent businesses unearthed another good one.

Two weeks in a row we have been here for dinner and drinks - for trivia. We didn't have a huge group- not even 10 people. Both times the service was downright awful. Meals and salads were completely forgotten, wings came out wrong (and when they were rushed to be "fixed" they were barely even sauced/flavored), and drinks took way longer than they should (for beers and a glass of wine, nothing exhaustive). To be fair, the manager did come out to apologize. I shortly thereafter saw her at the bar taking more than one shot with the bartender. For the record, I am 27 years old and I was a bartender for 4 years and a server for 7 before that. My standards are not high, and I am understanding- and I tip 20% for bad service; but this was atrocious, and not just once. We brought friends who just moved to Pasadena from out of the state (and I bragged about this place before going) and I am mortified I suggested it. Our group will definitely never be patronizing Taphouse again. There are way too many other great places in Annapolis, Severna Park, and even Pasadena for us to bother wasting money here again.
(1)Andy L.
Please don't apologize for not providing a waitress, menus, or taking drink orders. I really don't want to hear about the backed up kitchen. It's Mothers Day, you know that, have more people on duty. We left after being ignored. The abandoned and uncleared table should have been our first clue.

Catching up on reviews as the year winds down. I was debating with myself over whether to go three or four star for the Tap House, and went with three since it just doesn't quite measure up to the places I typically give four stars. The absolutely best things about this place are, by far, their excellent beer selection and location right next to the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail. Each time I've been there it's been in conjunction with bicycle rides on the trail. They even have a cask available most of the time, and it's usually very good but way overpriced. I love cask ale, but don't see why it needs to be priced so high. I've found the food to be decent enough and fairly standard bar fare. The staff has always been welcoming and efficient, and the patrons generally seem pretty friendly. I just wish the beer prices - especially the cask offering - was more competitively priced.

Looking for a great spot to get craft ales in Arnold, Pasadena, and Severna Park? Then set your bearings for this great Tap House. Beer selection is great and the prices are unmatched for selection in the area. During the football games beer deal exist and so do food deals. Food is better than the average bar grub quality, but mainly is bar food offerings, e.g. wings. Customer service was top notch, fun, and made the experience great. 5 stars!
(5)Tanya J.
Love this place! I was going here back when it was Snyders and then Rodz & Rydz. Great prices and friendly staff!
(5)Daniel S.
There are few places in the severna park area to relax on an outdoor patio and get dinner or play drinking games and sp tap house is the best. Great food, frequent events and promotuons, and a rotating beer tap selection keeps this place in my mind when I'm looking to go out.
(5)John Y.
Great food, great drinks, great vibe. The bartender Tom is the man!
(5)Hilary B.
We tried this because we were curious because it has changed names a few times. Go here for a bar experience not a food experience. Food was pricey and not great. I think they are trying to be a restraunt but they are just not there yet.
(2)H B.
Hit or miss. Sometimes the service is great and the atmosphere is relaxing and fun. Other times there is really loud heavy metal playing and you feel like you walked into a hipster/punk/biker bar. I wish I could find out which environment I will be walking into prior to heading over.
(3)Sandy A.
This is our new hangout. The bartenders are rapidly expanding our knowledge of beer. They are fun and patient. We enjoy the pub food - especially the hand-made burgers and the fish tacos. Follow on Facebook to hear about events. This is a classic local pub.
(5)Toby G.
Nice selection of rotating beers on tap, pool tables, great outside area with cornhole, friendly staff, and large enough parking lot. I love SP TAPHOUSE!!! What's not to like? Just a few minor glitches. Small stuff first, gotta get the NFL ticket. For this reason I would never come here on Sunday knowing almost every other restaurant has it. This is not a big deal but Whenever I am there I look to at what other people are drinking, I see a lot of rail cocktails and miller lite. So having such a great beer selection I don't always feel like I am with a beer crowd. As a married man in his mid 30s who has been drinking professionally for 15 years I know when I meet someone who is drinking a red bull and vodka on a Tuesday night I immediately know that we won't have much in common thus having no conversation, thus then not following with bro-ing up and meeting up for more drinks at SP Taphouse and spending more money. So maybe a little marketing to beer people might not hurt. Not sure if you do but I know I did not find this place from any beer mags or media that I like to read. Just personal and purely selfish request, a dart board would be awesome. Don't know if you have one but that would be great, mmm-k. The food, I have not eaten here so I can't make any suggestions on the food. The reason for that being I have been here plenty of times and I have yet to see anything on the menu that I have to try. I usually come with a full belly that is ready for beer. With that said I do understand its a neighborhood bar and I do not expect to see a life changing menu outside of burgers, wings and fries. There is nothing wrong with being that. Like I said I have never tried and it could be executed perfectly, But I can tell you as chef, and someone who eats out a lot and a lot of different places there is revolution going on where every joint , big and small are stepping up there food game. Playful and clever menu conception with an overall theme that is obvious where you can see there is some love. Love, is what gets people like me raving to everyone. For example, if you make a brisket that is smoked for 12 plus hours, or a housemade sausage or periogi that has been passed down in the family for generations, simple concepts and execution but they require love. No one in the history of Severna park taphouse has said to another person that "you have to go to the taphouse to get the chicken bacon ranch wrap" It might be the best wrap anyone has ever had but I guarantee that they would forget about eating it as soon a they look at a desert menu. I know that some may read and assume that I am some snobby foodie and in a sense I guess I am, but I got news for you, I am not the only one. We are growing in numbers every day. 2 channels on cable that are about food, reality shows about food in prime time, blog sites every where you look, top chef, man vs food, triple d, the chew, etc. it's happening all around you, and if you put down the Mozzerella sticks for a second you might see it too. Note that I love Mozzerella sticks I just prefer to get those late night after a long night of drinking, not while I am drinking. With all this said, I love this place. It has been my dream to live near a bar like this. I will grow old and gray with this bar. I just wish I could grow old in this bar while watching NFL ticket, throwing darts, and eating a plate of fork tender short ribs.

Great burgers and great beer selection. The atmosphere is not great - like the basement of a frat. house with black and red painted low suspended ceiling tiles. It smelled a bit damp and like beer too, again like a fraternity house.

Food: Excellent, had two meals here, it was very good! Solid stuff on the menu with great options. Beer: Very limited selection, but, what they do have on tap is great stuff. Service: This is what prevented this spot from getting 5 stars. On both occasions I visited, I had to flag down the bar tender for another beer and utensils for my food. Both nights the bar was not busy, only about 10-12 people at the bat (30-40% capacity). they bar tenders tended to just hangout in the back corner of the bar and not engage the patrons. I found this odd. The other thing that struck me as odd, a woman sitting near me asked for a sample of a beer she never tried, the bartender said that they no longer do that because it is a waste and cuts into profits. I've never heard of a tap house that won't let you taste a small bit before you commit to a new beer. Overall it's a good place, I'd go back, but, the service needs to improve.
(3)Lucy S.
Meh is exactly my sentiment after dinner here. If all you want is a great beer selection, this is the place. But if you care what you eat with your drinks, then you can do much better elsewhere. Quesadilla appetizer was uninspired. A few chunks of chicken and melted cheese - everything was dry. Burger and green beans (extra $1.50) were tasty, but unremarkable. The cheesesteak wrap with fries must have been waiting for the burger to be done since everything was barely luke warm. Fries tasted like they may have had good flavor had they been served hot.... or even warm! Our server was anxious to please, but was not in control of whatever issues the kitchen was having.
(2)GoodPeople D.
Good beer is all this place has going for it. Service sucks. Sucks is an understatement. I've been here numerous times on dining side and bar side. I am local so I try to support local business. I will not be going back anymore.. Fool me 6 times shame on you. Food comes out cold. Servers/bartenders are slow a don't know their product. They would rather talk to each other and do shots.. It's a shame..
(1)Victoria Z.
SP Tap House fit the bill for us. We stopped here after a long ride on the B&A Trail (just a stone's-throw away), and it was just perfect. We're beer lovers, and we REALLY excited about the fantastic list of great beers on tap. They have nice outdoor seating in the back that we took advantage of. The food was good -- not fine french dining obviously, but as good as you would expect from a local brewpub. We're coming back whenever we're in town.
(4)Chad P.
This place is all about the beer selection! If you are looking for a fancy meal or a refined atmosphere, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for one of the best beer selections for miles around, this place is for you. The exterior looks like quite the dive, but it is nicer on the inside with a nice patio area with tvs. We tried some food as well (crab dip, wings, loaded tots, and ahi tuna), while none of it was 5 star dining, it was actually pretty good.
(4)Skeeny G.
Nice upgrades from Rodz n Ridz - seems like the same mgmt, but the lonnnng beer list and the great updated menu had it packed last night(firday night, all tables full). The rockfish tacos are the bombt. Glad to see someone stepping up their game in Severna Park!

Went here today, looking for a decent meal and good beer. No complaints about the beer! I like IPA and had 3 different ones on tap -- very nice! I got there about 8:30 on a Saturday night. The band was getting set up and there was a bit of a crowd -- transitioning from the late dinner and early band crowds. I sat at the bar, and there were 3 guys working the bar. Took a while to get noticed...actually, had to flag one of the bartenders down. So, ordered a beer and then, after another wait for notice, got to order dinner. I ordered the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer and the Black and Bleu Burger (medium). For the burger, I didn't want fries and asked about veggies -- went with the sauteed green beans. The shrimp came at the same time as the burger -- 20 minutes or so after ordering. The shrimp appetizer came dressed with BBQ sauce, and a small cup of Dijon mustard. 6 shrimp for $11 --- meh. There was more than enough BBQ sauce -- so, not sure why they bothered with the mustard. I would have preferred a good bit less BBQ sauce, but it was tasty enough. (I was REALLY HUNGRY tonight). Didn't bother with the mustard. The Black and Bleu Burger ($12) that I ordered medium, came medium well. But, not overly dry, so I'll give it a pass. However, hard to believe that it started as the advertized 1/2 lb. I'm thinking 6oz max. The sauteed green beans were well enough cooked -- but, they must have been sauteed in at least 1/4 cup of olive oli, and at least a tablespoon of out-of-the-jar minced garlic. So, that would equate to easily 4 cloves, or more, of garlic for a single serving of green beans. For all that, the beans didn't taste especially garlicy, So, I'm thinking that the garlic was thrown in near the end. Now then, this place has the feel of a "locals" bar -- without crossing over to being a dive. Kudos for the high aspirations on the menu -- just need to "refine" the approach a bit. I'll go back and try the steak on steak night to see how that goes. Almost ordered it tonight --but $17 for steak (12 oz NY strip or 14 oz Ribeye are the options) at a bar was more than I was willing to pay. I found it interesting that there was no chicken entree other than a sandwich. So, ratings: Service -- Just OK. The one bartender with the goatee was the best Food -- For "bar food" -- better than average Beer Selection - A+ Value for the dollars -- not the best, not the worst. Will I give 'em another chance -- yes
(3)Melissa E.
My fiance and I live a few blocks away and want so bad to like this place more but the bartenders need a major makeover. We have been here four times and every time it seems as tho they are doing us a favor by pouring us a beer. If they had a better attitude then we would go there strictly for the fact that they have an awesome selection of taps and there food is ok typical bar food. Just highly recommend some better bartenders
(3)Tiffany Z.
Don't, just don't. We eat out a lot so I know what is good and what isn't. It might look intriguing but trust me, go somewhere else. We walked in at 6:30 on a Thursday and were the only 4 people in the place. Well, there were 4 people outside too - so 8 people for the 2 hostesses/waitresses/bus boys (they played all three positions.). There were also 3 bartenders and a barback/runner, so no excuse for not having enough staff for customers. Took 20 minutes for drinks, a hour plus for meals and so long to get the check that I finally had to get up and ask for it. Food may have been okay but the service is so bad that you can't enjoy it. Don't waste your money for $12 burgers or crab dip (which what you get is minimal for crab dip.)
(1)David M.
This is not the same restaurant / bar / Taphouse that everyone else is reviewing. No beer menu, inadequate food options, obviously overworked staff, too noisy (live music in a room that small is a bad idea), takes too long to get the food, mediocre beer selection (more than your average bar but by no means a large selection), and no greeter to help you find a place to sit and no sign indicating you to find your own seat. After a few failed beer orders due to running out of various beers and waiting over 1/2 an hour to get a simple burger I am not impressed at all. Though the burger was good I can't see ever coming back to have it again.
(2)Nancy C.
We came here because it's about 100 feet from the BWI trail, and casual enough that we didn't feel bad about hanging out in running clothes. Also, the beer is apparently good. I'm not a beer drinker, but my cider was tasty, and my friends seemed very happy with their beers. Ambiance: it's a casual neighborhood place. Someone had a baby carrier on the bar, people were shooting pool at three in the afternoon, and the clientele, while a good mix of all ages, skewed a little older. There's a giant Canadian flag painted on the ceiling. Food: Good, but bar food. Lots of fried things. The fried green beans were good. Everyone seemed happy with their burgers. The rockfish tacos were indeed delicious, and just the right amount of spicy. They contained an absurd (order them as lunch, not with lunch) amount of delicious fish, and delicious spicy mayo, and a few sad pieces of tomato. Personally I'd have liked more veggies, but ... it's bar food. And they were delicious. Service: Our loaded fries and drinks came out fast, then everything else was a wait, including the other appetizers. I think I was only annoyed because I'd just run four miles and was starving. On the other hand, the waitress did a good job of keeping our drinks coming without being annoying, didn't try to hurry us even after we'd stopped eating (we hung out for a while) and explained that she'd be happy to split the check if we'd write down how much we were all paying. Additional pro: they have a huge fenced back yard with a big wooden deck, and said they're happy to have dogs. Between being so close to BWI trail, and being able to bring my dog, I think this will be a new favorite weekend meetup spot.

Don't let the outside looks of this bar fool you! Friendly and knowledgeable bar staff, helped me pick out an excellent microbrew (Dogfish Head 120 Minutes IPA). Bartenders Nigel & Jamie could hold great conversations and had excellent customer service skills. The bar was extremely clean, well stocked and the music was good. I will defiantly stop back at this bar when I'm in the area again and I want to sample the food next time also it smelled excellent!

This is the best beer selection in Anne Arundel county by far! Chris is the best kept secret around as far as I'm concerned. He's knowledgeable and provides top notch customer service. I sure hope they pay him well because he certainly deserves it. Once Chris gets to know you, you don't even have to order. You can just walk in and he will probably know what you will like of what is available on tap. He's amazing that way. Now on to the food. Many reviews race about the Rockfish tacos, but they are honestly one of my least favorite things on the menu. Just about everything I've eaten there is good. Carmen's roasted jalapenos are probably the best appetizer I've ever had anywhere. They are spicy. Thursday night is steak night and a local favorite. You just can't beat it. I did get a steak that was overcooked one night and, true to form, Chris went in the kitchen and cooked it him himself perfectly. I had ordered it rare. What service! It would be nice if they had a few more tables inside, but everything else is so good, it's become one of my favorite places around.

The name has changed, now it is called "the taproom". Good idea since the previous name made me think it was a biker bar. Stopped in on a Friday night, got greeted at the door by someone who looked like he might be the owner. He let us know we could sit where ever we wanted to and pointed out an empty table. we opted to sit at the bar. The first thing we noticed was there was no smell coming from behind the bar. When it was Snyders, it wasn't fancy and you tended to let some things slide, but it was getting pretty obvious cleaning wasn't high on the previous owners list of things to do. It also seemed a little brighter in the bar area and the dining room isn't disconnected so there is a nice flow to the place. Our bartender was quick to introduce himself and asked our names. At first it seemed a little odd, but when it came time for the check, we found that our names were printed at the top. We started with the Buffalo chicken dip. This is cream cheese based with sour cream, some blue cheese and wing spice. Has a little bit of a kick to it, but not too much heat. It comes with a toasted baquette cut into rounds. we both liked it. I got the mushroom swiss burger. Good for the price. Nothing extraordinary, but cooked medium as requested. My wife got the rockfish tacos. Two soft shell tacos with blackened rockfish, lettuce and some sauce. She loved them. The bartender mentioned to us that they were very popular and we could see why. They are listed under the appetizer section, but would be enough if you just wanted something light for dinner. There was an abundance of staff working that night, at least four people that circulated from the dining room to the bar. Someone would stop and ask us if we needed anything every 15 minutes or so. Not terrible, but at times they did look like they were looking for something to do. The owner? stopped by to let us know about some promotions they will be having in the coming weeks. On the overall, we will be back. It was a shame to see Snyders go out of business, but it is great to see how the place has been cleaned up and the food improved upon.

Severna Park Taphouse has been all over the place in terms of quality and service. I'm seeing big improvements recently. Our group reserved 10 places on a recent Friday night (upon the suggestion of Jackie) and the tables were ready and waiting. We ended up with 25 people and were pleasantly surprised at how this didn't negatively impact service. Jackie rolled with the increased demand and provided great service. (Once a year ago, it was completely the opposite experience.) The food is very good. I've yet to find something that isn't. People rave about the beer list. I'm also a fan, but I'd like to see more variety. Yes, there are 30 some beers, but not a full range of beers. A hefeweizen or two on tap consistently would be a plus for my spouse. That is usually missing. I can't wait until warmer weather to get out in the back again.
(4)Koren L.
SO OK I will not blame the waitstaff.. but the food was sooooo long for it to come from the kitchen and when the app did the top was burnt, it was cheese fries not sure why it took sooo long for it to come out , but we were also with 2 small kids. my husband got a BLT and he said the roll was heated then left to sit because it was just down right hard and the bacon was cold.. guess they could not reheat it??? my daughters pizza was ok she said.. my son said the chicken tenders were dry and both husband and son said the tater tots were awful. My Burger was ok nothing to write home about it was the mushroom swiss with a side salad. The table next to us was ready to leave because there food had not come. So I'm said to say we will not be returning. I guess this is more a a bar place than an actually food place and i was looking forward to something close by and having good food... this is not the case. sorry but we will not be returning.. don't let the parking lot fool you there mostly there for the bar and pool tables on the other side of the place. e waitress was fine she did nothing wrong it was just that the wait was soooo long and I don't think I saw a plate go by the whole time I was there until the table next to us got food then it seemed to all come out. O-well off to somewhere better!

Found this spot while looking for a bar with draft beers... what a find! We visited on a Friday after work. Parking can be tricky but as we pulled up an RV and 2 trucks pulled out. We found a table and were immediately visited by Jill, bartender/wait staff. Left us with draft beer, bottled/canned beer and food menus. She came back after giving us some time to look over the menus and helped with information about the draft selections. We enjoyed a flight and individual drafts along with the best burgers we have ever eaten! Outstanding! We were there during "Happy Hour", which was a bonus! Had a good time. Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable and had great recommendations. Can't wait to go back!

Good selection of beers, fun hangout atmosphere but I wasn't a huge fan of the food. Service was quick and friendly. I will probably give this place another shot.

Had high hopes. Arrived early in the dinner hour and was meet by a friendly face and sat immediately. Soon became apparent she was hostess waitress bartender and bus boy. Though seemed to be surrounded by staff either completely lost or Just being trained. Took forever to get everything. Drinks appetizers and burgers. The food wasn't bad but nothing you can't get on a special night at other local spots for half the price. The brew selection looked impressive but when I asked for a sample they couldn't figure out how to pull it off. The response was that the bartender thinks it is to expensive to give a sample Thus water was fine for a long evening of average food inattentive staff and over priced food. My advice is to choice a local spot with $5 burger nite and save yourself some frustration and money, you will not be missing anything but heartburn from the tap house

Food is good and the beer selection is great. The only problem is the service. You might have to wave down a bar tender 3-4 time before they take your order. Although they might have the best beer selection in Sp but it could also be the slowest service in Severna park. This was not just my experience either. While waiting for someone to take my beer order two or three other patrons waiting for service look over and acknowledged that they had been waiting too loon as well. Also, they have one of the greatest outdoor/open spaces in Severna Park yet they have never had the patio bar open. If the outside bar would ever open is would be the best place in SP if they can step up their service. What a waste it is now.

went back in june and had a much better experience. sat in the bar and tasted a few beers and wings then went out back in the outside area for burgers, a cigar, and a couple more beers. service was excellent, burgers tasty, and the entire experience significantly more pleasurable than the first visit.

This place has been updated since it was divebar Synders. Used to be called Rides as well. Lot brighter inside but basically the same layout. BAR area is cool with 2 pool tables loud juke box, great bars seats, updated bathrooms, fireplace in dining area. The ceiling has a American flagon it. Great selection of FORDOM and other micro beers on tap. 2 dollar domestics on happy hour. BAR had a a mix of 20 somethings and older couple 50-60s. Seemed more of a 20 year old place(I was there from 5-8). My big negative was the service. Took forever to get my food or get someones attentions for a beer. The bartender left and went to serve food to the separate section with the dining tables. When I tried to get the check it was 7:45. I looked down at 8:10 and I had the check, the problem was it was someone elses check. Of course they had already run it on my card, so after another 15 minutes I finally paid and got out, will not do that again(I had somewhere to be a 8). Seemed the staff did not know what they were doing when it started to get a little busy. Had the fish tacos, and the honey dipped wings, both I would give a 10, but not for having to wait 25 minutes to get them. Low stars on service, food prices right on, drink prices were a tad high. OUTDOOR BAR/PATIO would be great for summer, cigar/cig smoking, has horseshoe pit. Looking at this building from the outside it looks like it was built in the 40s, near bike trail, Listeman's store and park ranger building.

First time here and will probably never go back. My friends and I decided to check out this bar for the first Ravens game of the season. The server was great and really helpful, although it took about 10 minutes to get just water. With that aside, our beers took almost 20 minutes after ordering, 1 appetizer took over 30 minutes, and the meal itself took almost 1.5 hours to receive, because the kitchen was "waiting on fries". Waiting on fries = Fries are cold. For all 5 orders. Seriously?! The server kept coming to our table to check on us, but how is your kitchen run that poorly?! Supposedly, this isn't the first time their kitchen has been an issue, and we weren't the only table who waited a while for food. I get it's busy between the Ravens game, O's game, and your normal clientele, but it shouldn't take the kitchen that long for a simple order. It would also help if you had more than one server working the patio. Between the bar and kitchen being slow (I'm assuming it's the reason why it took so long for our beers), I don't ever need to go back. The food was typical bar food and not that great. Also, I know for most people it's not that big of a deal, but out of all the taps and beers you have, is there any possibility of getting a gluten-free beer? Most places that call themselves a "Tap House" try to cater to all types of people, including those who can't consume gluten.

The food was alright. Better than standard bar food. The beer selection is great. The service makes it loose 2 stars. Our server didn't once thank us or check on us after our food was delivered. I won't be returning...

Definitely a favorite! One of the best Craft Beer selections in the area ... Currently 28 Taps, plus more selections in bottles & cans. Chris is always bringing in a rotation of quality draft selections. You are guaranteed to find something you'll love no matter your preference. They have the BEST Rockfish Tacos I've ever had by far ... also their Burgers,Chicken Quesadilla and Wings (Try the Honey Old Bay!) are fantastic. Different specials/discounts every night. Five TVs inside and one on the patio to catch all the local sports action. Two pool tables (inside) and Horseshoes & Corn Hole outside on the patio. Their outside seating is fantastic and the only bar in the area with such a great place to relax and have some good food & great beer with friends! Check out their new website for menu and current up-to-date Draft Beer selections: severnaparktaphouse.com

It was Amazon Local that initially brought me to this place and I will likely return. Great selection of beers on tap, tasty small plates foods and pool tables. The only limitation is space as it is a small space that clearly is popular. Prices are that of a true mom and pop and by no means inflated. Although off the beaten path, it is well worth the trek not too mention ideal for catching up with a small group of friends.
